3 STEPS TO LANDING A WAKESURFING 360
The 360 is the most coveted trick that everyone wants to master, but many attempt it without focusing on the necessary fundamentals. This often results in wasted time and countless falls. I, too, made the same mistake when I first started wakesurfing and attempted the 360 approximately 300 times before realizing the importance of breaking down the trick and honing three basic fundamentals. Once I improved these fundamentals, I was able to successfully execute the 360 trick.
Practice backside boardslides
2. Practice riding backside (heels to the wake)
3. Spin a 180 from your heels to your toes.
To execute - Back up on the wave, begin by gaining some momentum and moving towards the boat. Once you have built up enough speed, select your desired location on the wave and use your backhand to scoop. Initiate the trick like a backside boardslide, then lock yourself into a 180 and ride backside. Finally, rotate your hips and shoulders to complete the final 180-degree turn and successfully execute the trick.
Remember to throw the trick slowly and always look up. Have fun, and hit me up if you have any questions.
